Revenue models for XAN

Notes, to be further fleshed out.

XAN burn in intents

  • Users can elect to burn XAN in intents
  • Intent processors (solvers, relay nodes) can require that a certain amount of XAN is burned
    • Configurable ruleset. Could require e.g. % burn for swaps.
    • Minimum burn agreed to in some consensus (governance).
    • Extra above that solvers can take as a tip.
    • Enforcement
      • Enforcement in what messages nodes accept
      • Intents can require matched intents to also burn
      • Users select only solvers who follow these rules (maybe also staked)
  • Intent fees can also be paid in other tokens to the XAN foreign reserve (same mechanism).

Sequencing fees

  • Top-of-block auctions (for e.g. Binance arbitrage and such). XAN collected thereby is burned.
  • Priority fees for the rest of the block. XAN collected thereby is burned.
  • These fees can also be paid in other tokens, they are either sent to the foreign reserve or swapped for XAN which is burned afterwards.
